Manisha Rupeta, a 26-year-old Hindu girl from Jacobabad in the Sindh province of Pakistan, has created history by getting brilliant success in the Public Service Commission exam of Pakistan. Manisha has secured 16th position in the list of 152 successful candidates. Manisha Rupeta has been appointed Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP). Manisha said that there is a desire to work for the development and protection of women in Pakistan, a male-dominated country. It is to set an example that women can advance in every field by motivating women.
Manisha said that her relatives used to say that it is difficult to get selected in such a field, instead it is better to become a teacher or a doctor. Especially women should become teachers or doctors if they want to work. From such an environment, Manisha has become a police officer. People’s assumptions are wrong. Coming from a middle-class family, Manisha said that in a country like Pakistan, where the condition of women is considered pitiful – she will work for women’s rights, women’s justice.
