Due to the significant increase in technology-based innovation and investment opportunities in the global financial sector, Gujarati investors are looking at not only Indian markets, but also global markets. Pre-IPO Deals, Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs) and Thematic ETFs have emerged as the most popular asset class in Gujarati High Networth Individual (HNI), according to wealth management platform Crystal AI.
Despite limited investment options in the Indian market and heavy volatility in global markets, major cities like Gujarat, Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata are showing special interest in pre-IPOs in areas with huge growth potential like HNI technology, Fintech and Pharma. Gujarat accounts for about 15 per cent of the country’s total HNI investors, with Ahmedabad, Surat and Vadodara investors being the most active.
Gujarati investors are more active for this. The high risk-taking capacity of Gujarati investors is also considered to be an important factor for this, said Neeraj Desai of Crystal AI. Gujarati investors are more eager to invest in American investment products.
After which investments are made in other countries like UK, Japan, Singapore. They are also interested in investing in strong stocks and ETFs such as Tesla, Alphabet Apple.
